Curriculum:

Kako Senior Secondary School, established in 1963, was founded through a joint initiative by parents and the Church of Uganda. The Kiswa family generously donated part of the land for the school. In 1965, it became a full government-aided secondary school, and expansion in the late 1960s was supported by the International Development Agency (IDA). In 1979, the Parents Teachers Association was formed, and the school began offering the Higher School Certificate section. UNEB Centre Number: U0021.

Kako Senior Secondary School offers a comprehensive curriculum for both O-Level and A-Level students. O-Level subjects include English, Literature in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Home Economics, Geography, History, Commerce, CRE/IRE, Luganda, Principles of Accounts, Political Education, Fine Art, Music, Computer, German, and Technical Drawing/Woodwork. At A-Level, students can study History, Geography, Economics, Divinity, Literature/Luganda/French, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Food and Nutrition, and Fine Art. The school emphasizes academic excellence while developing practical skills and moral integrity.

Kako Senior Secondary School Co-curricular

Students at Kako SSS participate in a variety of co-curricular activities that foster holistic development. These include football, netball, volleyball, and cricket, as well as music, dance, and drama. Practical skills are cultivated through farming activities such as gardening and piggery, while social clubs, academic clubs, debating societies, and scouting enhance leadership, teamwork, and community engagement.
