Kawempe Muslim Secondary School offers a robust academic program with admission criteria based on academic performance. For Senior One, students are required to have passed the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) or possess a Primary Seven Equivalent Certificate for international students, along with six passport-sized photos. For Senior Two and Three, a PLE pass, an academic performance report from the previous school, and a recommendation letter are required. For Senior Five, applicants must have a pass in the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE). The school combines strong academic programs with co-curricular opportunities to ensure holistic development.

The school is equipped with modern facilities to support learning and co-curricular activities. Its computer lab includes interactive whiteboards and data projection tools, allowing students to use computers both for computing lessons and as learning aids in other subjects. The science labs are fully stocked with all necessary apparatus and chemicals, and all experiments are supervised by qualified and experienced laboratory technicians. Classrooms are fully equipped, with seventeen carpeted rooms in the main building designed to provide a comfortable and conducive learning environment.
Kawempe Muslim Secondary School | KMSS History
The school was initially established in 1984 at the current Kawempe Muslim Primary School site. Due to expansion pressures, it was relocated in June 1984 to Kyaddondo Hill, Kalule Zone, near the Juma and Zhukuri headquarters. Since its founding, the school has grown significantly, continually improving its academic programs, facilities, and co-curricular offerings.
