Kiira College Butiki, commonly known as Butiki, is a prestigious all-boys boarding public secondary school located in Namulesa trading center, Jinja District, in Eastern Uganda. Perched on Butiki Hill along the Jinja-Kamuli Highway, the school is approximately 14 kilometers from Jinja town. Established in 1959, Butiki was founded to enhance educational opportunities for Basoga boys and has grown to become one of the region’s respected institutions. Its name honors the River Nile, locally called Kiyira, which originates from Lake Victoria near Jinja. The school motto, “Discipline & Hardwork,” reflects the values instilled in every student.
