Namirembe Hill Side High School is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian secondary school located along 8 Miles Gayaza Road in Nangabo Sub-County, Wakiso District, Uganda. The school was founded on May 5, 1995, by Mr. Kiiza Hilary and Mr. Kyaligonza Robert, initially at Bakuli (Namirembe) along Mujunja Road in Kampala District. It began as an A-Level school with just sixty students and has since grown into a leading institution of learning that provides both O’ and A’ Level education.

The school strives to offer a holistic education that nurtures students intellectually, socially, morally, and emotionally. It is committed to producing well-rounded learners who are ready to contribute meaningfully to national and global development.

Namirembe Hill Side High School offers both Science and Arts subjects, providing a well-balanced curriculum that prepares students for higher education and equips them to face the challenges of a dynamic world. The school promotes critical thinking, creativity, and moral discipline while maintaining high academic standards through a team of qualified and dedicated teachers.

Facilities

Library:A We have a properly resourced, professionally staffed library that is accessible to all students and the school’s teaching team.
Health: The School has a clinic under a qualified Doctor and two assisting nurses. The clinic is used by both students and the school teaching and non-teaching staff.
Accommodation: A well fenced spacious accommodation structures for both Female and Male students. Domestic affairs in the girls’ and boys’ dormitories are handled by the matron and warden respectively.
ICT Lab: We embarked on an ambitious 5 year project of integrating Information Technology (IT) in all our operation process. This is aimed at enhancing teaching, learning, research and timely availability of information to all respective stakeholders.
Laboratories: We have modern science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) Laboratories which are fully stocked with all the relevant apparati and chemicals required in the various experiments carried out by students.
Counselling Program: All students at Namirembe Hillside High School have the ability to grow socially, emotionally and academically. Students are guided to learn and practice important skills in order to meet life’s challenges. Counselors collaborate with students, families, and staff members to achieve the goal of a positive educational experience for life-long success.
Other:A Standby generator, Morden kitchen and dinning hall, a Basket ball court, Secure Fencing, DSTV, Reading Sheds.
