Ntare School offers both Ordinary (O’ Level) and Advanced (A’ Level) education, following the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education and Sports. The O’ Level program includes core subjects such as Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, French, Literature in English, Geography, History, Christian Religious Education, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, and Technical Drawing.
At the A’ Level, students specialize in combinations that include Arts and Science subjects, complemented by subsidiary Mathematics, ICT, and General Paper. The school emphasizes analytical thinking, creativity, and moral integrity, preparing students for national examinations and future academic pursuits. Manned by an experienced clinician and a registered nurse, the facility provides basic laboratory services and collaborates with nearby clinics for specialized care, ensuring the health and wellbeing of the entire school community. Additionally, the school offers comfortable dormitories, including Aggrey, Africa, Nile, New House, Mbaguta, Golden, Pearl, Crichton, and Pioneer houses, which foster a strong sense of brotherhood and discipline among students.
Ntare School History
Ntare School is a renowned boys’ boarding institution located on the scenic slopes of Ntare Hill in Mbarara District. The school’s vision is “To be a model school for excellence”, and its mission focuses on continuous improvement in academic and character development. Ntare is recognized for producing well-rounded, God-fearing citizens ready to take on leadership roles in modern Uganda. The school is governed by a strong Board of Governors and led by a dedicated Headmaster, supported by a team of 97 professional teachers and staff members.
