The college is a private, mixed day and boarding school offering both Ordinary and Advanced levels. Fully registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports and assigned UNEB Center No. U1971, the school provides a modern learning environment with contemporary facilities. Royal College – Makindye Academics

At Senior 1 and 2, students study 14 compulsory subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, History, Biology, and Geography. Senior 3 and 4 students take 7 compulsory subjects and choose 3 optional subjects from Christian Religious Education, Literature in English, Commerce, Home Economics, French, Fine Art, and Technical Drawing.

At A’ level (Senior 5 and 6), students can select from Science subjects—Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology—or Arts subjects—History, Divinity, Economics, Literature—along with additional options such as Foods and Nutrition, Fine Art, French, General Paper, and Technical Drawing. The curriculum emphasizes practical application and prepares students for national and international examinations.
