Rubaga Girls Secondary School is a Catholic-founded, girls-only boarding school located in Rubaga Division, Kampala. Established in 1967, the school has built a distinguished reputation for academic excellence, discipline, and holistic education. Managed by the Bannakikira Sisters and owned by the Kampala Archdiocese, the school provides a nurturing environment where young girls are empowered to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. Rubaga Girls Secondary School was founded in 1967 by the Kampala Archdiocese and entrusted to the White Sisters of the Order of Our Lady Queen of Africa for administration. The first headteacher, Sr. Lucce Tessier from Canada, set the foundation for a culture of discipline, academic rigor, and moral guidance. Over the years, the school expanded to offer both O-Level and A-Level education, achieving A-Level status on 25th April 1994 under No. PSS/S/103. By 2017, the school celebrated 50 years of distinguished service in nurturing academically accomplished and morally upright young women.
The school’s vision is to become a center of academic excellence for the girl child. Its mission is to train young girls who will serve the Church, the nation, and themselves as God-loving and God-fearing women, mature citizens, responsible future mothers, and capable leaders. Through a structured curriculum and strong moral guidance, the school strives to shape students into well-rounded, responsible individuals.
